5.8meters became a measurement

    5.8meters is the height of the the space, Li space's height is 5.8meters. The architecht Ai Wei Wei design his construction plan for Cao Chang Di red art district's building;'s height, and this district is accepted by the art circle in China to be one of the art exhibition space, and 5,8meters is the standard height for  artist workshops and art storages. In China the regulation says an ordinary apartment room must not higher than 2.5meters. Therefore, since 1990's real estate development, we built so many apartments, offices, stores or even villa with a standard height of  2,5 meters. The cramped, depressed rooms became like many boxes in our vast city, and prisons for the "not guilties", making those people who lived in it look like an animal traped within the space, with no soul and creativities.
  5.8meters is a huge measurement space for many modern people, and it is a releaf for their body and soul, except the chimney out side, 5.8meters will bring out a magnified effect to the space, and the existence of human will be magnified as well, so as the freedom.

   For artists, their works should be cope with the height 5.8meters, so their works should related to the 5.8meters height ceiling. The wall and the floor of the space to be the strong point.
