New Blood of Art

    Whether Chinese contemporary art is able to find his standing point in art history is based on what Chinese artists will contribute in the next 5 to 10 years’ time. Li-Space will work on the construction of the concept “New Blood of Art” in the coming years. This concept doesn’t constrain to the outstanding endeavor of the young generation but also tries to encourage the already established artists to gain new strength. It is no doubt that the new energy of art creation lies in the efforts of making a fresh restart when artists changed to a new track and their logo went to zero.The First Exhibition, curated by Gu Zhenqing, is the opening exhibition of Li-Space inCao ChangDiand is also the first contemporary exhibition after the establishment of Li-Space. Participating artists are Gao Feng, Guo Ling, He Qing, Lin Qihong, Sha Weichen, Shi Jing, Shi Wanwan, UNMASK, Xia Jing, Xin Yunpeng, Xu Zhongmin, Xue Tao, Yang Qian, Yang Qiong, Yuan Yuan, Zhang O, Zhao Yiqian. Works in this exhibition cover a wide variety of painting, installation, photography, video, performance etc.The First Exhibitionemphasises on the intervention of contemporary art into daily experiences, as well as different methods of experience of artists and audiances and tries to observe the variety of contemporary art, as well as the  possible of carrying on the experiments.
