Xu Li                 

1978  Born in Hunan Province.

2003  Graduated from the China Academy of Fine Art.

2004—2009  Studied at the Ecole Régionale Superiéure d'expression Plastique in Tourcoing.

Currently teaches multimedia installation art and video art at the Public Art Department of the China Academy of Fine Art Shanghai Institute of Design.

 

Creations and Practices：

2009  Essays Dissemination Methods in International Contemporary Art and Parisian Graffiti published in the art journal Meishu Bolan (Fine Art Readings).

2009  Participated in the selection of International High Level Young Artists for French national contemporary art studio Le Fresnoy, exploring creation, innovation and developments in world new media art.

2009“Light and sound” installation The Spatialization of Force featured in the Ecole Régionale Supérieure d’Expression Plastique Parade.

2008  Participated in a group art exhibition in Lille, France.

2005  Participated in the France All-National Student Exchange Exhibition, winning an award.

2003“Series of future concept designs” collected in “Vanguards of World Contemporary Industrial Design”.

2003  Font designs collected in Creative Font Design.

2003“Series of future concept” designs exhibited at the Liu Haisu Museum of Art, Shanghai.

2002“Series of future concept” designs featured at the Design Biennal De Saint- Etienne France.

2001  Artwork “Interaction” selected for the Nokia Global Innovation Competition and published in I View the World.

2001  Participated in the poster design for National Mandarin Promotion Week, presented award at Shanghai TV and CCTV jointly-hosted awards program.
