LIU GUIDI Art Group

    Currently, there are almost no limitations for the media of art creation. As the main body of creation, an individual artist is also being challenged. The identity of artist is re-defined during the ceaseless breakthroughs happened in information globalization and art boundaries. The contemporary art in Hainan is on the margin of Chinese contemporary art. The living environment of art in Hainan seems to have resulted in the marginalization of the artist’s environment for creation, which has also led to the unique nature of their thoughts. Liuguidi Art Group was established by artist Wang Xiaofei in 2008 against such a background. It is a temporary and free combination of the artists in this area that devotes itself to creating a diversified art group whose core is contemporary art.
